Evaluation criteria
Features & Capabilities
25%We evaluate the core feature set against the tool's stated use case — depth of functionality, output quality, and whether advertised capabilities are genuinely available at each tier.
Pricing & Value
20%We assess pricing against the value delivered: free-tier limits, paid-plan pricing, per-seat models, and value relative to competing tools in the same category.
Ease of Use
20%We evaluate onboarding, interface design, learning curve, and how quickly a new user reaches productive output. Documentation quality is considered too.
Integrations
15%We assess native integrations, API availability, automation support (Zapier/Make), and compatibility with common productivity and developer workflows.
Support Quality
10%We review available support channels, response quality, and the vendor's track record on resolving user issues.
Product Updates
10%We assess the cadence and quality of product updates, changelog transparency, roadmap communication, and the track record of shipping improvements.
